The quiet turning of the Celtic New Year
Join us for an immersive seasonal workshop combining gentle movement, Irish storytelling, Yoga Nidra, and a live sound experience as we transition into the darker part of the year.
The session begins with gentle, accessible movement and breathwork to help you release tension, arrive fully in the space, and prepare the body for rest, also receiving guidance on creating a personal intention (Sankalpa) for your practice.
From there, an Irish storyteller will share a seasonal story, exploring themes and traditions connected with Samhain. Rather than simply listening, you are encouraged to fully drop in and experience the atmosphere, imagery, and emotional landscape of the story from within.
The storytelling naturally flows into the Yoga Nidra, the main portion of the workshop, allowing time to settle fully, rest, and integrate the experience on a deeper, more embodied level.
During this guided Yoga Nidra practice, you are invited to lie comfortably supported by blankets and props, surrendering into body and breath awareness, while progressively entering deeper states of rest.
The practice will be accompanied by an immersive live soundscape featuring Tibetan singing bowls, Koshi chimes, rainstick, and other instruments, adding another sensory layer to the experience and supporting deep rest.
This is a restorative and immersive experience. A chance to pause, listen, imagine, rest and reconnect with the natural rhythm of the season.
No previous yoga or meditation experience is needed.
A gentle note:
The workshop is gentle and accessible, including during pregnancy with appropriate positioning and modifications. Pregnant participants are encouraged to let the facilitator know in advance so that suitable support can be provided.
Participants with medical conditions, acute mental health difficulties, significant trauma-related symptoms, dissociation, or any concerns about taking part are encouraged to consult an appropriate healthcare professional beforehand and inform the facilitator where relevant.
