A Journey through Yin, Yoga Nidra, and Sound
Give yourself permission to do less: to soften, surrender, listen and rest at the turning point of the year.
Join Jane Feighery for a special two-hour practice exploring this seasonal transition through Yin Yoga, Yoga Nidra, intention-setting, and sound.
This workshop begins with an extended practice of Yin Yoga, embracing the quieter, more receptive qualities of our nature. Through long-held, floor-based postures and spacious periods of stillness, we will slow the pace and turn inwards, asking: What are we ready to shed? What can we allow to end? What might we surrender rather than carry with us into the season ahead?
As the practice progresses, you will gradually descend into deeper stillness, culminating in a practice of Yoga Nidra, a guided practice of deep rest, with mantra and sound woven into the experience.
Samhain marks a threshold in the Celtic calendar: the beginning of winter and our passage into the darker half of the year. As the natural world begins its descent into winter, we too are invited to turn inward, moving from the outward energy of the brighter months towards a season of greater stillness, reflection, and rest.
