Move deeply into a place of inner balance and harmony
Join Elaine and Francesco for a deeply restorative afternoon of grounding breathwork, nourishing movement, and restorative sounds.
Designed to balance the chakras and welcome a sense of harmony in body and mind, this workshop gently guides us through the threshold moment that is Lughnasadh, the Celtic festival that marks the turning point from summer into the harvest season.
The chakras are the body’s energy centres. The term “chakra” comes from the Sanskrit word for “wheel” or “disk”. Working to harmonise the chakra system is rooted in ancient yoga philosophy. With modern anatomical understanding, we know that the chakras align with the nervous and endocrine systems, acting as vital messaging centers in the body, regulating everything from heartbeat and digestion to mood, behavior, and consciousness.
These are centres of deep wisdom, influencing our physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being. When energy can flow freely through the chakras, it has profound effects on our overall health, allowing us to move forward from a place of alignment, strength, and clarity.
Guided by Elaine, the session begins with sacred chanting and pranayama breathwork (breath of fire). Then, you’ll move through a Hatha yoga sequence, designed by Elaine to focus on each chakra, getting your energy moving freely and dynamically through your body and spirit.
Following this chakra harmonising, Francesco will take you to a place of deep relaxation as you lie in Savasana. Allow the calming sounds and nourishing frequencies of Tibetan bells and sound bowls wash over you and weave their way into your meditation, bringing you to a place of inner balance as you arrive at the end of the session.
