Look Up, Look Out, Earth is the Antidote

“Look Up, Look Out, Earth is the Antidote” is the first phase of an ongoing experimental project currently in development for exhibition.

This series aims to raise awareness of two deeply interconnected global concerns: light pollution and climate change. Through immersive visual storytelling, the project invites the viewer to reconsider their relationship with the sky, the land, and the consequences of modern life.

By directing attention upward toward the stars we’re losing and outward toward the Earth that sustains us. This work proposes nature itself as a form of remedy: an antidote to disconnection, overconsumption, and environmental degradation.

Kyle spent 2 weeks on the island of La Palma photographing the sky. This series includes cloud formations, gradients of sky, the moon and the sun. All images were taken with a 800mm lens bringing the viewer in hyper-close on the subjects to witness the beauty of the world in unseen ways.

This series strives to be an antidote to the pain and conflict present in the world currently.

“Only after the trip did I realise how much time I had spent looking inwards, trying to be better, do better. Trying to fit in and be accepted. I had forgotten there is a whole big beautiful world out there. I forgot to look outwards, at the beauty that lies beyond our own horizon.”
