We hear music everyday, but how often do we truly listen?
Field Notes is a full-body album listening experience designed for you to hear great albums the way they’re intended to be heard – with zero distractions, on vinyl, and through the highest quality sound system.
On Friday 10th October, join us in our cosy yoga room in listening to Lisa Hannigan’s stirring album ‘At Swim’ produced by Aaron Dessner of The National.
A unique collective listening experience, you are invited in this calm, screen-free space to slow down, tune in, and take note – what can we find when we really pay attention?
Launched on Culture Night with Sinéad O’Connor’s ‘The Lion and The Cobra’, Field Notes is a four-part series in which we’ll listen to one carefully chosen Irish album in its entirety through our custom Hatchett Sound System, designed and built by Toby Hatchett (The Big Romance, Fidelity).
Each session is guided by artist and facilitator Maria Kelly, who will gently lead you through somatic grounding and journaling exercises before the listening begins. Lie down – supported by bolsters, blankets, and eye masks – settle into your surroundings, and just listen.
Following dates and albums are:
Friday 7th Nov: Villagers – Darling Arithmetic
Friday 28th Nov: Fionn Regan – The End of History
All remaining dates for Field Notes are on sale now. Purchase individually or the entire series for €56.

Maria Kelly
Maria Kelly is an Irish singer-songwriter with over a decade of experience in writing, performing, and releasing music. Celebrated for her emotionally honest songwriting and intimate indie-folk sound, Maria’s debut album The Sum of the In-Between and her most recent release Waiting Room have reached millions of listeners worldwide – with Waiting Room recently named one of the Best Irish Albums of the Year by The Irish Times.
Her songs have featured in major film and television campaigns, including RTÉ’s Conversations with Friends trailer and the international trailer for EZRA, starring Robert De Niro. She has shared stages across Ireland, the UK, and Europe with artists such as Tom Odell, Kodaline, James Vincent McMorrow, and Orla Gartland, as well as performances at Other Voices, All Together Now and Another Love Story.
A graduate with a BA (Hons) in Commercial Modern Music, Maria has gone on to host intimate living room tours, curate multidisciplinary exhibitions, and founded Tangent – a monthly writing community that sparks creative inspiration and fosters connection within Dublin’s artistic scene. This work has naturally led to wider facilitation roles, including with Music Generation, where Maria curates music, songwriting, and live performance workshops for children of all ages.
Maria’s facilitation style is grounded, kind, and collaborative – rooted in a deep belief in the power of creativity to reconnect us to ourselves and each other. Whether through music or group work, she creates spaces where people feel safe to show up honestly, explore their voice, and trust the creative process.
