Community Teaching at Segotia
Good Karma
Good Karma is our community class at Segotia. Led by one of our karma yogis or a teacher donating their time in service to the community. This is a gateway for newer teachers, allowing an opportunity for them to gain experience and a gateway for the community to access yoga classes at a reduced cost. The class is free to book and there will be a QR code at reception for students to contribute what they can afford.
How It Works
This is an open-level class primarily geared towards Level 1 students and runs every Monday from 1:10pm to 2:00pm. The class is offered to new teachers in three-week blocks, providing an opportunity to gain teaching experience within a supportive studio environment. As the class operates on a donations-based model, any profits remaining after VAT are shared between the teacher and the studio. At the end of each three-week block, teachers are asked to email the studio in order to receive their payment.
We also sometimes take a few photos in the class for social media. This is mentioned when students book, but we ask the teacher to mention this at the start of class too. If you have any questions about this, please feel free to let us know.
