Practice patience, openness, and trust
When things don’t go our way, how might we learn to accept, adapt, and find a new way forward?
Watercolour – a famously unpredictable and fluid medium – offers a playful, low-stakes way to practice exactly that.
Each week, we’ll use painting to explore how we respond, regroup, and remain open when the unexpected occurs.
Guided by Nick, you’ll learn specific watercolour techniques that offer opportunities to build skills like colour mixing, layering, and developing light and shadow.
More important than perfecting any outcome, the real work is in the process. As we learn to let go of control and expectation, we also practice patience, openness, and trust. Painting will simply be the doorway to deeper work on ourselves.
You are welcome to bring your own watercolour set (a basic 10–12 colour set is great) and a brush (the larger, the better). Watercolour paper, water containers, artist tape, paper towels, and additional paints and brushes will be provided.
