Showcasing ground-breaking art in our gallery, championing our creative residents and their work, or supporting our yoga community in a holistic way – Segotia is for everyone. It’s a place where you can always be yourself while discovering yourself at the same time.
What does Segotia mean?
Segotia is an old Dublin slang word, most commonly heard as “Me Aul Segotia”, it is a term used for a close friend, a mate, someone who is always willing to lend a hand. And that’s precisely what we’ve built Segotia around. Set up and lovingly curated by a small group of friends, friendship is the thread that runs through everything we do.
A friendly space for small talk and big questions, our goal is to make you feel safe and relaxed so you can express yourself and find your flow in a supportive environment – whether through artistic expression or through moving your body.

Our Founders
Karen and Derek’s vision for Segotia stems from their shared path to getting here. They met when they were 16, growing up together, travelling together, and experiencing a life full of music and art together in Dublin.
Between starting their family, their own personal desires for change, and the city crying out for secure cultural spaces, the idea for a multi-purpose creative and restorative place like Segotia formed.
Our History
Segotia is housed in the building that Derek’s family ran their business from for 20 years. Before that, it was home to a company that designed and crafted plaster cast statues.
In recent years, the building hosted a variety of creatives from tattoo artists to music producers, when the true potential of the building started to reveal itself. Within its very walls, the idea for Segotia was born.
Our Vision
While you might not initially think the yoga world and creative industry go hand-in-hand, they share a common, fundamental element that makes them intrinsically linked: flow.
Our goal is to draw these two worlds closer together, informing each other, working together to make Segotia a destination where everyone feels free to gather and find their flow.

Starting your day with a coffee or winding down with a soothing sauna, we’re excited to bring a whole host of creative and restorative experiences to the Rathmines community in collaboration with our wonderful neighbours in the yard.

We have nine purpose-built studios, offering space for artists, designers and creatives to find their flow in the heart of Rathmines.
Restorative Space
The restorative space at Segotia offers classes, workshops and events to nurture participants. We cherish the cycles of nature, and the blueprints of myth, ritual, spirituality and our ancestors.

The Gallery space showcases art from our Segotia residents and the wider creative community.
